UPPER SCHOOL BALLET DIRECTOR
beginning August, 2017
Pine Crest School, a PreK-12 college preparatory school in south Florida, is searching for an experienced dance educator to join our school community.
The successful candidate will continue to nurture our highly successful dance program. Working closely with colleagues in the Fine Arts Department, the Upper School Ballet Director will be responsible for the continued development of the Upper School ballet program; teach intermediate ballet, advanced ballet and pointe classes; and support the Middle and Lower School programs on both campuses (Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton). Additional duties will include planning, rehearsing and presenting the annual Upper School Ballet, as well as several other classical dance performances.
Successful applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Dance/Dance Education and have a minimum of three years experience working with a successful dance program at the high school and/or college level. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of program development, knowledge of ballet pedagogy, and experience as a dance performer.
